Telling Data Stories with America’s Essential Data

Telling Data Stories with America’s Essential Data

Today, we highlight another partner in our data rescue work: America’s Essential Data (AED). The group aims to document “the value that data produced by the federal government provides for American lives and livelihoods.” You know we love a data impact story, and their team has been developing a framework for telling your data story. We really like their approach to demonstrating the explicit value of federal data, and they may share your story on their website. We are also collecting data impact stories, so submit to both! Never hurts to amplify how we use public data!

In addition, they have more tools in the works for looking at the broader impact of data loss. We are excited about all that is to come. In the meantime, they need volunteers with experience in front-end development, web scraping, or legal research. If that sounds like you, get in touch with them at questions@essentialdata.us.
